
Wide Format Service Technician – Traveling

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver both phone and on-site technical support to clients.
• Conduct diagnostics, troubleshoot issues, perform repairs, execute software upgrades, implement machine modifications, retrofits, and carry out preventative maintenance on production printing equipment.
• Handle equipment installations, deinstallations, relocations, and provide training for customer operators.
• Follow up with clients post-installation to confirm that expectations are met and that the equipment is functioning effectively.
• Oversee and organize upcoming installations, ensuring site readiness requirements are met, including power availability, forklift scheduling, and compatibility with RIP software.
• Deliver high-quality technical assistance by completing service calls in line with company standards and service agreements.
• Support clients with equipment-related inquiries and advise on color management and production workflows.
• Acquire a solid understanding of Onyx software and RIP systems to aid customer print production environments.
• Comprehend how RIP software governs print production and assist customers with general operational questions.
• Engage in continuous training programs to stay updated on products, software, and service procedures.
• Aid sales teams by identifying opportunities for equipment upgrades and assisting with technical assessments.
• Maintain precise service records and documentation.
• Operate efficiently in a dynamic, customer-centric environment.
• Minimum of 2-6 years of relevant field service experience.
• Experience in servicing and repairing wide format equipment and related technologies.
• Strong preference for experience with Canon wide format printing equipment.
• Preferably possess a working knowledge of Onyx software and production RIP workflows.
• Strong understanding of computer and networking concepts.
• Outstanding customer service and communication abilities.
• Proficient mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong familiarity with Windows operating systems and associated applications.
• Highly driven with the capability to work autonomously from a home office setup.
• Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50% of the time, primarily within the Central and Eastern United States.
• Must hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
