Werkstudent Datenschutz & Compliance – m/w/d

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Close collaboration with the Data Protection Officer and the CTO

• Operational implementation of data protection and IT compliance measures in daily operations and at the interface with international regulations

• Development of a centralized Trust & Compliance Knowledge Base and establishment of a currency update process

• Creation and maintenance of a register for customer contracts, analysis of deviations, as well as storage of certificates and service proofs

• Review and triage of inquiries regarding new IT and AI tools using checklists

• Preparation of decision templates

• Independent maintenance of the directory of processing activities as well as deletion concepts, TOM documentation, and the incident register

• Monitoring of data subject requests, certificate expirations, and deadlines

• Support in subprocessor notifications, English-language compliance questionnaires, and training materials

• Direct reporting line to the Data Protection Officer with fixed weekly meetings and close collaboration with the CTO

⛳️ Requirements

• Enrolled in a Master's program, preferably in Business Law, Business Informatics, Business Administration, or a comparable degree related to IT or Law

• Alternatively, studying Law in the main program after the intermediate examination, ideally with a focus on IT, data protection, or contract law

• Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken

• Availability of at least 15 to 20 hours per week

• Ideally available for a minimum of 12 months

• Proficient and critical use of AI tools

• Interest in IT infrastructure and security

• Experience with automation tools like n8n or Zapier is a plus

• Precise and diligent working style with deadlines and contracts

• Structured self-organization and reliable follow-up at interfaces

• Initial exposure to GDPR is advantageous, but not mandatory

• Access to customer contracts, security documentation, and personal data requires confidentiality
