• Construct and uphold website pages utilizing Elementor Pro, which includes sections, templates, and dynamic content elements.
• Design and adjust WordPress themes (both child and custom) to fulfill design and functionality specifications.
• Develop and manage basic WordPress plugins, encompassing custom post types, taxonomies, shortcodes, widgets, and simple mu-plugins.
• Diagnose and resolve layout, functionality, and performance problems using browser DevTools and WordPress debugging methods.
• Collaborate with the team to execute designs (converting PSD to WordPress) while ensuring alignment with the existing code structure and functionality.
• Conduct testing on all modifications before deployment, adhere to coding standards, and document non-obvious decisions while proactively addressing any blockers.
• WordPress experience (1-2 years)
• Proficient in creating and modifying child themes and custom themes from the ground up
• Basic plugin development skills: registering custom post types, taxonomies, shortcodes, widgets, and settings pages
• Knowledge of must-use plugin (mu-plugin) development: understanding the circumstances for using mu-plugins and crafting small utilities that load automatically
• Competence in working with the WordPress hooks system (add_action, add_filter, remove_action)
• Skilled in using Elementor Pro page builder: constructing pages, sections, columns, and widgets.
• Experience in creating Elementor Theme Builder templates (headers, footers, archive pages, single posts).
• Capability to write custom CSS within Elementor sections and widgets.
• Understanding of how to enhance Elementor with custom widgets (PHP-based).
• Familiarity with Dynamic Tags and conditions in Elementor Pro.
• Awareness of how Elementor affects page performance and strategies to mitigate potential issues.
• Basic knowledge of FTP/SFTP and cPanel/hosting panel usage.
• Familiarity with browser DevTools for troubleshooting layout and JavaScript challenges.
• Comfortable working with page builders alongside custom code without disrupting existing functionality.
• Ability to adhere to established code conventions and documentation.
• Effectively communicates blockers and seeks assistance before spending too much time stuck.
• Tests modifications before deploying to production.
• Provides concise notes or comments for non-obvious code decisions.
