This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Develop front-end applications utilizing modern JavaScript technologies (React, TypeScript).
• Collaborate with product and design teams to architect and deliver refined customer-facing features.
• Continuously enhance code quality by identifying technical debt, proposing solutions, and elevating standards for the entire team.
• Learn from, mentor, and grow with teammates through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing.
• Engage in the design, architecture, and delivery of new features within a collaborative agile/scrum setting.
• Utilize observability and monitoring tools to troubleshoot issues and enhance the user experience.
• Write comprehensive tests for each feature and bug fix, as testing is a core practice for this team.
• Create efficient, accessible web applications that cater to all users.
• Work alongside QA to fortify automated testing pipelines and CI/CD workflows.
• Employ AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude) to expedite delivery while upholding high code quality.
• Demonstrated expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and fundamental UX principles.
• Over 3 years of practical Web Development experience.
• A solid foundation in computer science, with knowledge of data structures, distributed systems, algorithms, and software design.
• Enthusiastic about clean code architecture and engineering excellence.
• Experience in building and utilizing REST or GraphQL APIs with contemporary web frameworks.
• Familiarity with Git and GitHub or similar version control systems.
• Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript across the complete browser environment (DOM, events, interfaces).
• Comfortable investigating root causes and sharing insights with team members.
• Adept at working in the terminal.
• Proficient using an editor of your choice.
• Experience in writing automated tests (Jest, Jasmine, Cypress, Playwright, or equivalent).
• Familiarity with profiling tools.
• Knowledge of caching strategies and tools.
• Experience in consuming and integrating third-party APIs.
• A passion for sports and/or gaming is considered a plus.
• Nice to have: experience with IoT or kiosks, Elixir, GraphQL APIs (Absinthe), schema stitching and subscriptions, GCP, Kubernetes, JavaScript SSR, open source contributions, or startup experience.
