This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Construct and set up client websites directly within Popmenu's exclusive web builder, engaging in production design instead of producing mockups.
• Utilize HTML and CSS to enhance layouts, address styling nuances, and comply with ADA standards, understanding that CSS is employed only when the builder falls short.
• Implement efficient, template-driven site builds while ensuring visual integrity, brand consistency, and uniformity across sections.
• Participate in redesign initiatives, refreshing layouts, styles, and specifically defined components as directed.
• Assist the wider design team by responding to design support requests, rectifications, and enhancements across live sites.
• Conduct internal assessments using design checklists prior to site publication, identifying layout, styling, accessibility, and content discrepancies.
• Utilize limited or incomplete brand materials to create polished designs by selecting fonts, expanding color palettes, and sourcing or modifying images as necessary.
• Revise and format content to enhance clarity, structure, and readability.
• Implement SEO best practices concerning page architecture, metadata, and image descriptions—including the utilization of AI tools for drafting SEO copy, alt text, and content summaries.
• Craft clear and organized design notes for both internal teams and clients, accurately communicating changes, decisions, and context.
• Monitor and manage assigned tasks through Salesforce, including updating milestone stages and documenting notes.
• Participate in internal team meetings and collaborate with Onboarding and Success teams on client calls for complex requests or escalations as required.
• Accurately and efficiently incorporate feedback from internal and client sources.
• Intermediate knowledge of HTML and CSS (1+ year), emphasizing layout, responsiveness, and accessibility—not application development; comfortable working in a builder-centric environment where CSS supplements rather than dictates design.
• Solid grounding in branding and web design principles, encompassing hierarchy, spacing, typography, mobile-first design, and visual coherence across sections.
• Practical understanding of responsive layouts (Flexbox/Grid) and browser DevTools for troubleshooting purposes.
• Basic familiarity with SEO best practices regarding site structure, metadata, and image alt text.
• Comfortable navigating a template-based environment, modifying designs within established systems and limitations.
• Moderate proficiency with graphic editing software (Photoshop, GIMP, Affinity, or similar) to resize, retouch, and adjust assets.
• Capability to make informed design choices when brand materials are incomplete or minimal.
• Comfortable employing AI productivity tools to assist with copywriting, image editing, and task efficiency.
• Familiarity with CRM or project management tools (experience with Salesforce is a plus).
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and written communication abilities; including the capacity to produce structured notes that clearly express design decisions.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• Competitive salary and performance-based incentives.
• Opportunities for professional development and growth within the company.
• Flexible work schedule and remote work options.
• Health and wellness benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
• Collaborative and innovative work environment.
