This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Implement contemporary engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to fulfill engineering tasks, while providing support for various civil and structural design workflows on a case-by-case basis.
• Collaborate closely with and mentor junior engineers.
• Employ advanced 2D modeling software including HEC-RAS 2D, FLO-2D, and InfoWorks ICM to execute hydrologic and hydraulic analyses.
• Carry out sediment transport analyses and scour calculations to uphold the integrity and sustainability of renewable energy projects.
• Create plans, specifications, and observation reports that are thorough, precise, and compliant with established industry engineering standards.
• Engage technically in resolving design challenges, which may involve conducting field investigations or observations, and addressing discrepancies among various information sources when necessary.
• Execute design tasks and review computations related to stormwater management design for renewable projects in both urban and rural settings.
• Maintain a value engineering perspective throughout the phases of development, design, and construction.
• Collaborate effectively with business and engineering personnel across various markets and technical disciplines.
• Work closely with clients to grasp specific technical needs and determine the most viable solution(s).
• Assist in marketing, sales, and business development initiatives within the designated market.
• Exhibit a high level of creativity, out-of-the-box thinking, and ownership in design processes.
• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program or its equivalent.
• Successful completion of Civil Professional Engineer (PE) registration; NCEES Council Record is preferred.
• A minimum of 4-6+ years of civil engineering experience, with at least 3+ years specializing in water resource design for renewable energy projects.
• Knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic principles and methodologies pertinent to rural and urban drainage.
• Experience with erosion and sediment control applications, as well as temporary and permanent stormwater treatment techniques, is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical capabilities and proficiency in interpreting complex hydrologic and hydraulic data.
• Experience in executing 2D sediment transport analyses and scour calculations in both cohesive and non-cohesive soils is preferred.
• Required proficiency in 2D modeling software such as HEC-RAS 2D, FLO-2D, and InfoWorks ICM, in addition to ArcGIS software.
