This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Slovakia.
• Assist in the development and execution of waste management strategies, which include: classifying and characterizing waste streams, defining treatment, conditioning, storage, and disposal pathways, and ensuring alignment with regulatory and project-specific requirements.
• Deliver technical support for waste-related initiatives, encompassing: coordination and supervision of waste handling, treatment, and disposal operations, assessment of waste management processes and facilities, and reviewing and updating waste management procedures.
• Aid in the preparation and evaluation of documentation, which includes: waste management plans and procedures, compliance and regulatory documents, as well as waste inventory records and reporting.
• Contribute to waste tracking and data management efforts, involving: maintenance and verification of waste inventories, along with support for data systems and reporting tools.
• Coordinate interfaces with related disciplines, including: decommissioning and engineering activities, environmental and permitting requirements, and health, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Assist clients in achieving compliance with: national and European regulations, as well as project-specific requirements and standards.
• Contribute to project and program reporting efforts, which include: KPI tracking and analysis, risk and issue identification and management, and providing input for structured client reporting.
• Function effectively within a multi-stakeholder environment, facilitating coordination among: clients and funding institutions, contractors and suppliers, as well as multidisciplinary project teams.
• Proven experience in nuclear, hazardous, or industrial waste management (experience with municipal waste alone is inadequate).
• Experience in regulated environments (e.g., nuclear, industrial, infrastructure, or environmental projects).
• Familiarity with: waste classification, characterization, and treatment processes.
• Knowledge of: waste handling, storage, and disposal routes.
• Understanding of: regulatory and compliance frameworks.
• Insight into waste management in: nuclear decommissioning, infrastructure or environmental projects, and industrial or hazardous waste settings.
• Capability to contribute to technical documentation and reporting.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary teams.
• Relevant degree (engineering, environmental science, nuclear science, or related field) or equivalent experience.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage in client-facing roles.
• Proficiency in English (minimum B2 level).
