This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Take charge of forecasting, annual planning, scenario modeling, and long-term financial planning.
• Establish an operating rhythm centered around key financial and operational KPIs.
• Assist leaders in making informed decisions regarding hiring, spending, and investments while ensuring teams are accountable for their budgets.
• Manage cash forecasting, working capital, treasury functions, and liquidity oversight.
• Supervise external accounting partners, accounts payable/receivable, tax coordination, and enforce financial controls.
• Support significant negotiations with customers, vendors, and partners through detailed financial analysis.
• Collaborate with the CEO on Board presentations, investor communications, fundraising efforts, and strategic financial initiatives.
• Transform ambiguous business inquiries into structured analyses, actionable recommendations, and clearly defined actions.
• Resolve critical cross-functional issues effectively.
• Act as a strategic advisor to the CEO and leadership team; report directly to the CEO.
• Over 8 years of experience in strategic finance, FP&A, finance leadership, BizOps, consulting, banking, private equity, corporate strategy, or related fields.
• Significant operational experience within a growing organization.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, forecasting, cash management, unit economics, and corporate finance.
• Outstanding analytical abilities and financial modeling expertise.
• Proven track record of using data and analysis to shape major business decisions.
• Experience presenting insights to executive teams and/or Boards.
• Ability to develop improved systems, processes, and operational rhythms.
• Capability to determine when to maintain a high-level overview and when to delve into the details.
• Familiarity with B2B services, education, technology-enabled services, M&A, fundraising, or transactional work is advantageous but not mandatory.
