This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Lead the establishment and execution of a robust operational risk management framework for CIBG, which includes developing policies, procedures, and controls.
• Perform thorough risk assessments, identify emerging risks, and recommend strategies for mitigating those risks.
• Collaborate with various business units to enhance risk awareness and offer guidance on best practices in risk management.
• Monitor key risk indicators and report on them, ensuring that significant risks are escalated to senior management in a timely manner.
• Keep abreast of regulatory requirements and industry standards to ensure the bank's compliance with operational risk regulations.
• Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including business units, compliance, and legal departments.
• Supervise the deployment of risk management technology solutions and guarantee their effective use.
• Organize regular training sessions and workshops to bolster risk awareness and skills organization-wide.
• Offer expert guidance and assistance to senior management regarding complex risk-related issues.
• Promote a culture of risk awareness and accountability, encouraging a proactive stance on risk management.
• At least 15 years of experience in operational risk management, with a strong emphasis on financial services, particularly in corporate and investment banking.
• Comprehensive understanding of financial products, services, and associated risks, including treasury operations.
• Demonstrated success in leading and managing operational risk functions within a complex financial institution.
• Strong grasp of regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to operational risk management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of effectively identifying and assessing risks.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to build relationships and influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience in crafting and implementing risk management frameworks and policies.
• Proficient in risk management technology and data analytics tools.
• Ability to work autonomously and juggle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Relevant certifications or qualifications in risk management, such as FRM or PRM, are highly desirable.
