Risk Operations Agent – EMEA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Evaluate assigned account queues to determine the legitimacy of accounts and their holders, assess associated risks, and ensure that proper decisions regarding account restrictions or dismissals are made for each case reviewed (60%).

• Reach out to account holders to confirm account activity, investigate potential issues, and mitigate possible losses (10%).

• Continuously observe cases and reports to recognize emerging trends, patterns, and risks, and relay pertinent findings to management (10%).

• Supervise account activity to identify unusual or suspicious actions and take prompt measures to prevent fraudulent or unauthorized transactions (20%).

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in high-risk, rule-based, or process-driven settings, preferably in financial services, fraud prevention, risk management, or compliance roles.

• Strong analytical and investigative abilities, with a knack for identifying patterns, anomalies, and potential risks through the analysis of transaction and account activities.

• Demonstrated experience in conducting KYC/KYB reviews, enhanced due diligence, and transaction investigations.

• Exceptional written communication skills, capable of producing clear, concise, and well-supported case documentation and rationales for decisions.

• Ability to exercise sound judgment and make risk-based decisions in complex or ambiguous situations with minimal supervision.

• Proven history of maintaining high levels of accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail while juggling competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Working knowledge of AML regulations, financial crime controls, and best practices for transaction monitoring.

• Flexible and willing to provide weekend coverage as part of a team operating on a 7-day schedule.
