This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Oversee the design process from initial concept to final execution across social media, web, and digital campaigns, including interactive and motion-based projects.
• Transform ideas, briefs, and preliminary concepts into clear visual guidance, frequently starting from loosely defined parameters.
• Actively participate in social media storytelling by generating concepts and producing top-quality visual assets.
• Collaborate on the creation of thought leadership campaigns, providing a strong perspective on visually communicating ideas.
• Design and prototype interactive experiences that effectively engage and clarify complex content.
• Employ an editorial approach to visual storytelling, determining how ideas are organized, sequenced, and conveyed across various channels.
• Handle multiple projects concurrently, managing feedback and revisions with professionalism and clarity.
• Contribute to the growth of EDC’s brand and digital presence, encompassing the website and cross-channel experiences.
• Develop and sustain scalable design systems, templates, and components that promote consistency and efficiency.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure the execution is of high quality and aligns with the brand.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in design and content strategy.
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in a creative agency or in-house setting.
• Strong portfolio showcasing interactive, digital, and motion design projects.
• Proven track record of guiding projects from concept to final delivery.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating design decisions and addressing feedback effectively.
• Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently.
• Outstanding organizational and project management abilities.
• Proficiency in working across various formats, including social media, web, motion, and print.
• A distinct perspective on visual storytelling and digital communication.
• Experience in designing for campaigns or content series rather than just isolated assets.
• Comfort in fast-paced, collaborative environments with changing inputs.
• Passion for mission-driven work and utilizing design to promote social impact.
• Technical expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign required).
• Knowledge of After Effects and/or Premiere.
• Familiarity with interactive design tools such as Figma.
• Experience using project management tools like Asana.
