This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +3 more states.
• Develop a cutting-edge AI-driven sourcing engine targeting Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
• Analyze markets, organize foundational data, and create screening and ranking systems for opportunities on a large scale.
• Establish a fintech network and represent Quona at industry events.
• Assist in business, financial, and technology due diligence throughout the deal-closing process.
• Create financial models and conduct company valuation assessments.
• Prepare pre-screen and investment committee documentation.
• Perform thematic research and deep competitive analysis within fintech sub-sectors.
• Aid portfolio companies and management teams with operational projects and strategic long-term decisions.
• Organize board meetings, evaluate KPIs, and monitor performance against established plans.
• Assist in live exit strategies, including buyer mapping, secondary strategies, and exit planning.
• Collaborate with the Quona investment team, global investment team, and platform teams.
• Around four to six years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, management consulting, or a similar analytical position.
• Open to pre-MBA, mid-MBA, or post-MBA candidates.
• A genuine interest in the apprenticeship model and hands-on learning opportunities.
• Connection to Africa, MENA, or emerging markets through background, work experience, or a deliberately cultivated network.
• Passion for technology, entrepreneurship, financial inclusion, and investment.
• Outstanding analytical skills with advanced financial modeling expertise.
• Capacity to take initiative and operate independently within a fast-paced, geographically diverse team.
• Excellent business writing and communication skills in English.
• Proficiency in AI applications beyond basic chatbot document summarization.
• Proven experience in developing workflows, databases, screening tools, evaluation systems, or internal products utilized by others.
• Ability to make sound judgments regarding model accuracy, overrides, and manual processes.
• Domain knowledge in financial services or financial technology is preferred.
• Experience in assessing investment opportunities is preferred.
• Existing connections within African or MENA startup and venture ecosystems are preferred.
• Proficiency in Arabic or French is a plus.
