Virtual Youth Conservation Crew Leader

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with MobilizeGreen staff and partners to execute the 2026 Virtual YCP program, which includes two cohorts.

• Oversee the virtual crew alongside your team.

• Deliver curriculum to youth, focusing on topics such as environmental issues, wildfire management, ecology, sustainability, outdoor career opportunities, outdoor recreation, public lands, and professional development.

• Organize meeting times within program hours to mentor youth on both individual and small group projects.

• Maintain effective communication with your Program Coordinator, Program Assistants, and fellow Crew Leaders.

• Coordinate sessions with additional participants, including partners and panelists.

• Digitally organize and manage program materials as instructed by the Program Coordinator.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years since high school graduation.

• Must be at least 21 years of age.

• 2-3 seasons of experience in leading youth in formal or informal educational settings, camps, or team environments.

• Background in environmental education and outdoor leadership skills.

• Experience with virtual work, including proficiency in tools such as Zoom, Discord, Cisco's WebEx, G-Suite, and Google Classroom.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage youth in programming effectively.

• A committed dedication to enhancing youth participation and engagement in outdoor learning and recreational activities.

• Proficient in creating educational materials and communications related to environmental stewardship, resource management, outdoor career pathways, and nature-based experiences.

• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively on projects.

• Interest and knowledge in environmental and natural resource management.

• Self-motivated, organized, and proactive.
