This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Oversee instructional programs tailored for students recognized as gifted and talented.
• Foster an educational environment that provides both academic and social-emotional support for gifted students.
• Design and execute a rigorous instructional program that enables students to achieve academic excellence in line with FLVS and state regulations.
• Collaborate closely with fellow educators and school/district professionals to manage all aspects of the Educational Plan (EP) process.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver services and instruction for gifted students in a virtual learning environment.
• Assess the individual needs of gifted learners and create advanced curriculum and lesson plans accordingly.
• Evaluate evolving curricular requirements and propose enhancements for the gifted program.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• A valid Florida Professional Teaching Certificate in the assigned content area OR proof of active enrollment in a state-approved EPI or MAT program AND either a valid Florida state-issued Statement of Eligibility OR a valid Temporary Certificate in the assigned content area.
• Gifted Endorsement as mandated by the Florida Department of Education.
• At least one year of successful teaching experience in the subject area OR successful completion of an FLVS instructional internship program OR current enrollment in an approved EPI or MAT program.
• Preferred: Three years of teaching experience.
