This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Assist the Executive Director in managing the operations of the State office
• Collaborate with the Department of Education along with essential local school administrators and teachers to enhance SkillsUSA Texas membership and engagement
• Organize and implement Fall Leadership and District Contests within their district
• Offer guidance and support to new chapter advisors
• Partner with the Regional Manager to develop and sustain partnerships
• Prepare technical chairs, judges, and contest standards for the District Leadership and Skills Conferences
• Engage in the execution of Summer Leadership while coordinating attendance with district officers
• Manage inventory of district supplies and submit an annual report.
• Attendance at the State Leadership and Skills Conference is mandatory.
• At least five years of experience in the education sector
• Previous experience with SkillsUSA, as well as in career and technical education (CTE) classrooms and career and technical student organizations (CTSOs) is advantageous
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
• Capacity to work collaboratively with colleagues across the organization, alumni, key stakeholders, and the public
• Strong written and verbal communication, planning, and organizational skills
• Demonstrated high professional and ethical standards for managing confidential information
• Ability to organize and execute multiple tasks concurrently, with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to prioritize in order to meet deadlines.
• This position requires extensive travel
• Availability for evening and weekend work as necessary
• All employment is structured as a two-year contract with annual performance evaluations.
