Virtual Urgent Care, Acute Care Advanced Practice Provider – NP or PA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide virtual telehealth acute care to members of Devoted Health experiencing emergent or critical illnesses.

• Diagnose intricate medical conditions.

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests as necessary.

• Develop care plans and prescribe suitable medications.

• Evaluate members for quality-of-care interventions and assess their social, home health, and durable medical equipment needs.

• Collaborate with primary care providers, specialists, pharmacists, clinical nursing staff, social workers, family members, and caregivers to coordinate care.

• Utilize the electronic health information system during visits and offer feedback for interface enhancements.

• Provide weekend on-call support for clinical nurses in specified regions.

• Assist in new clinical or organizational programs and initiatives as the position evolves.

• Incorporate innovative practices in virtual care.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of three years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider, ideally in acute care settings.

• Experience in acute care, urgent care, emergency medicine, primary care, internal medicine, and/or geriatrics.

• For Nurse Practitioners: must hold active and in-good-standing RN and APRN licenses.

• For Physician Assistants: must possess an active and in-good-standing Physician Assistant license.

• Required licensure and certification in good standing for the role.

• Ability to secure licenses in the requested states within 90 days of hire, starting from the signing of the offer letter.

• Willingness to obtain additional state licenses as required.

• Availability to work four 10-hour shifts weekly, including one weekend shift each month, from 11 am to 9 pm EST.

• Experience conducting visits via telehealth video platforms.

• Proficiency in managing acute and chronic disease exacerbations, including congestive heart failure, diabetes, COPD, and hypertensive emergencies.

• Adaptability, eagerness to learn, and comfort in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Flexibility in scope of practice and a readiness to embrace new challenges.
