Virtual Teacher, Science

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide live, on-camera synchronous instruction for five or more hours each day on all scheduled teaching days.

• Develop an engaging and well-structured virtual classroom environment.

• Utilize student performance data to tailor instruction, identify learning gaps, and modify teaching approaches.

• Offer prompt and meaningful feedback on student assignments.

• Keep accurate student records to ensure students and their families remain informed and on track.

• Foster relationships with students and families through proactive communication.

• Collaborate with school partners and Edmentum colleagues to deliver consistent, high-quality support for students.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related discipline.

• Valid state teaching license in Science (Biology, Chemistry, General Science) for grades 6–12.

• Experience in teaching within virtual and/or in-person environments.

• Ability to manage the demands of a live online classroom effectively.

• Capability to teach live on camera for five or more consecutive hours each instructional day.

• Confidence and engagement while on camera.

• Practical experience with online learning platforms and tools for virtual instruction.

• Proficiency in standard productivity software.

• Ability to analyze student performance data and adjust live teaching accordingly.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent organizational skills, self-direction, and time management abilities.

• Capacity to independently handle a full caseload of students in a remote setting.

• Dedication to professional development, maintaining certification, and staying updated on K–12 curriculum, technology, and best practices.
