Virtual Teacher, Math

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide live, on-camera synchronous math instruction for five or more hours a day on each scheduled instructional day.

• Develop an engaging and well-structured virtual classroom environment.

• Utilize student performance data to tailor instruction, identify learning gaps, and modify teaching methods.

• Offer timely and constructive feedback on student assignments.

• Keep accurate student records to ensure that students and families remain informed and on track.

• Foster relationships with students and families through proactive professional communication.

• Collaborate with school partners and Edmentum colleagues to deliver consistent, high-quality support for students.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.

• Active state teaching license with a Mathematics endorsement for grades 6–12.

• Experience teaching in both virtual and/or in-person environments.

• Comfort with the challenges of a live online classroom.

• Ability to teach live on camera for five or more consecutive hours during each instructional day.

• Practical experience with online learning platforms, virtual instruction tools, and standard productivity software.

• Capability to interpret student performance data and adjust instruction accordingly.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Strong organizational and self-directed time management skills to effectively manage a full student caseload remotely.

• Commitment to professional development, maintaining certification, and staying updated on K–12 curriculum, technology, and best practices.

• Integrity, warmth, and a belief that every student can succeed.
