Virtual BCBA – Board Certified Behavior Analyst, Missouri Licensed

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.

📋 Description

• Provides modeling and training for staff on the principles and practices of Positive Behavior Support methodology.

• Acts as a member of Interdisciplinary Teams (IDTs) to offer expertise regarding behavioral concerns.

• Responsible for assessing, designing, training, monitoring, and reporting on Behavior Plans.

• Conducts descriptive and systematic behavioral assessments, such as functional analyses, and delivers behavior analytic interpretations of the findings.

• Offers direct behavioral interventions to clients through replacement skills training, social skills training, crisis de-escalation, group and individual behavioral treatment, and/or skills coaching across all relevant environments.

• Participates in an on-call rotation addressing behavioral issues.

• Monitors the use of restraints and provides training aimed at reduction.

• Oversees challenging behaviors.

• Engages in committees such as the Behavior Intervention Committee, Human Rights Committee, and other pertinent committees as assigned.

• Provides tailored services to address the treatment needs of each patient in specialty intermediate care clinics, adhering to the requirements of 902 KAR 20:410 Specialty Intermediate Care Clinics as necessary.

• Learns and adheres to all applicable policies and procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Board Certified Behavior Analyst (certified by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board).

• Specialized training and/or experience in fundamental applied behavior principles, including plan implementation, data collection, behavior interventions/replacement behaviors, and risk identification/amelioration.

• A minimum of two years’ experience working with the specified population, including individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

• Documented completion of 10 hours of annual training related to behavior supports through courses, seminars, or conferences, or training provided by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities.

• Ability to read and understand simple instructions, brief correspondence, and memos.

• Ability to compose simple correspondence.

• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings to individuals and fellow employees.

• Ability to apply common sense to execute detailed but straightforward written or oral instructions.

• Ability to address problems that involve a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

• Ability to make independent decisions with sound judgment and attention to detail.

• Education: Doctoral or Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.

• Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification is mandatory.

• Must be able to record and enter data neatly, accurately, and objectively, in accordance with Oakwood requirements.
