• Remain informed about U.S. politics, national matters, and global issues influencing American society, showcasing a strong commitment and enthusiasm for consistently tracking news.
• Recognize significant news events, perform thorough research, and analyze intricate topics to propose engaging video story concepts.
• Develop videos in various formats designed for diverse social media and digital platforms.
• Craft captivating video narratives that clarify complex political and current affairs subjects for a wide-ranging audience.
• Utilize basic video editing tools to edit, package, and disseminate multimedia content.
• Collaborate efficiently with editors, producers, writers, and other team members on newsroom projects and initiatives.
• Keep an eye on breaking news updates and contribute to timely reporting as needed.
• Exhibit a willingness to acquire new journalism skills, take initiative, and manage additional responsibilities as necessary.
• Ensure that content adheres to editorial standards regarding accuracy, clarity, and audience engagement.
• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies, Political Science, or a related discipline.
• Strong enthusiasm for U.S. politics, current affairs, international relations, and news reporting.
• Exceptional research, analytical, and storytelling skills.
• Basic knowledge of video editing software and multimedia content creation.
• Familiarity with major social media platforms and various digital content formats.
