Video Editor – Social Media Content

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Edit short-form videos tailored for platforms including TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, and XHS.

• Create visually captivating edits that feature strong hooks, pacing, and a coherent storytelling flow.

• Incorporate subtitles, transitions, music, and visual effects to maximize impact and viewer retention.

• Modify content for various platforms while ensuring consistency in tone and messaging.

• Collaborate closely with Creative, Social Media, and Marketing teams to execute campaign concepts and weekly content calendars.

• Provide input on creative formats, editing styles, and content directions that align with current trends.

• Assist videographers by refining and repurposing raw footage into polished final products.

• Remain updated on social media trends, editing styles, and viral formats across different platforms.

• Analyze competitor and influencer content to discover best practices and innovative creative ideas.

• Continuously experiment with and enhance editing techniques to boost engagement metrics.

• Keep project files, media archives, and version control organized.

• Ensure that all outputs adhere to each platform’s specifications (ratios, length, resolution).

• Deliver projects punctually while upholding creative quality and consistency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Film, Multimedia, Communications, or a related field.

• 1–3 years of experience in short-form video editing or social media content production.

• Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, or DaVinci Resolve.

• Strong grasp of social media algorithms, trends, and audience behavior.

• Excellent eye for pacing, storytelling, and the appropriate tone of voice for each platform.

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

• A showreel or portfolio showcasing short-form social content is required.
