Video Editor – Part-Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Edit short-form videos for platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and other social media channels.

• Convert raw footage into captivating, high-quality content while preserving the authentic brand voice of the creator.

• Repurpose pre-existing footage to create additional short-form content opportunities.

• Utilize clean and minimal editing techniques, including cuts, pacing adjustments, zoom effects, captions, and basic audio enhancements.

• Efficiently organise and manage video assets, footage libraries, and project files.

• Collaborate with the founder to bring content ideas, scripts, and creative briefs to life.

• Identify visually striking moments within the footage that can be transformed into standalone content pieces.

• Assist in content scheduling by ensuring videos are edited and delivered according to established timelines.

• Suggest enhancements to video performance based on platform trends, audience engagement, and content insights.

• Source and integrate suitable royalty-free music that complements the tone and style of the content.

• Uphold a consistent visual style that emphasises authenticity, craftsmanship, and storytelling over excessive effects or animations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in video editing for social media and digital content.

• A strong portfolio that demonstrates short-form video content and storytelling expertise.

• Proficiency in industry-standard video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.

• A solid understanding of social media content formats, audience retention strategies, and platform-specific best practices.

• Capability to create engaging content without relying on excessive graphics, animations, AI-generated effects, or overly stylised editing techniques.

• Experience with creator-led brands, personal brands, educational content, or lifestyle content is highly valued.

• A keen eye for visual storytelling, shot selection, pacing, and content flow.

• Ability to identify content opportunities from existing footage and proactively propose new content ideas.

• Capacity to work independently while closely collaborating with the founder on creative direction.

• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple editing projects at once.

• Strong communication skills and a willingness to contribute ideas that enhance content performance and consistency.
