Video Editor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• You will take charge of the creative and technical aspects of post-production for impactful social media videos.

• Utilizing your storytelling skills, understanding of platform dynamics, and awareness of current trends, you will convert raw footage into captivating content for some of the leading D2C brands in the industry.

• You will implement pacing, sound design, color grading, VFX, and motion graphics to ensure that the content aligns with brand identity and performance goals.

• Collaborating closely with our Creative, Strategy, and Production teams, you will share your insights during the initial stages of concept development.

• You will serve as a knowledgeable partner on all matters related to video editing, post-production, and creative best practices, while also actively participating in internal knowledge sharing initiatives.

• You will consistently evaluate our processes, pinpoint areas for improvement, and contribute to the growth of our content division.

⛳️ Requirements

• You possess a minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in video editing, preferably including agency exposure (either full-time employment or regular freelance work for agencies).

• You have a keen understanding of storytelling, timing, dramaturgy, and visual communication—particularly within the social media landscape.

• You can differentiate between organic and paid social strategies, applying appropriate editing and communication techniques.

• You have significant experience in editing (short-form) content for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.

• Your post-production workflow is organized, efficient, and maintains high quality, covering aspects like color grading, sound design, motion graphics, and basic VFX.

• You are skilled in using common Adobe Creative Cloud applications*, especially Premiere Pro and After Effects.

• You are highly proficient in working with standard AI image and video generation workflows.

• You possess a solid understanding of current content trends, hooks, and creator formats, and can effectively tailor these for various brands.

• You have excellent German and English language skills, presenting yourself confidently and professionally while engaging with clients and team members.
