This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with leadership and our creative team to take charge of the visual representation of our brand across all platforms, including eye-catching YouTube edits and high-converting Reels, Shorts, and paid advertisements.

• Transform initial raw footage into polished, publish-ready content with minimal supervision, ensuring timely delivery, brand alignment, and performance optimization.

• If you possess technical expertise, a keen eye for detail, and thrive on owning a project from the first cut to the final export, this position is tailored for you.

⛳️ Requirements

• A proven portfolio showcasing both short- and long-form video edits (YouTube, Reels/Shorts/TikTok, paid social) with measurable results or reach.

• Proficiency in a professional editing software (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut, or CapCut Pro) as well as a motion/design tool (After Effects or similar).

• Experience in producing both organic social media content and direct-response video advertisements.

• Skilled Video Editor - You can independently create engaging content featuring captions, smooth transitions, b-roll integration, and a strong sense of pacing and storytelling.

• Motion Graphics Specialist - You create refined animations, kinetic typography, and dynamic transitions that enhance the narrative.

• AI-Augmented Editor - You leverage AI to enhance your workflow—such as captioning, transcription, b-roll sourcing, rough cuts, upscaling, and audio enhancement—while ensuring creative quality remains uncompromised. It serves as a tool to increase your efficiency, not a replacement for your creative judgment.

• Detail-Oriented & Organized - You manage multiple projects, adhere to deadlines, and maintain a smooth content flow across various platforms. You meticulously review your work; nothing is published unless it is polished.

• Creative Eye with a Critical Lens - You have the ability to identify what makes a thumbnail stand out and a video effective, along with the skills to rectify any issues.

• Strong Communicator & Team Player - You work well across teams, sharing insights clearly in an asynchronous environment (Slack/Loom).

• Fluent in English - You are capable of writing and speaking in impeccable English, ensuring that captions, titles, and slides are grammatically correct and resonate with a native-speaking audience.
