📋 Description

• The Video Editors at Chess.com are tasked with creating high-quality, engaging chess content for various digital channels.

• Edit and compile raw video footage into refined short-form and long-form material tailored for different social media platforms (e.g., YouTube, TikTok, Instagram).

• Elevate video content through expert use of motion graphics, cuts, transitions, color correction, audio mixing, visual effects, and graphic overlays.

• Research and integrate current social media trends and innovative editing methods to ensure content remains fresh and relevant.

• Review raw footage from tournaments and streams to pinpoint key storylines, viral moments, and captivating highlights suitable for standalone content.

• Evaluate video performance metrics to enhance editing style, pacing, and storytelling techniques for optimal audience engagement and retention.

• Ensure that all final video assets comply with Chess.com's brand guidelines, visual aesthetics, and consistent tone of voice.

• Maintain a flexible schedule, including availability during off-hours and weekends.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced expertise in the entire Adobe Suite, particularly in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Blender, and Cinema 4D.

• Proven knowledge of YouTube video optimization and content strategies for prominent social media platforms.

• Strong storytelling abilities with a sharp sense of pacing, timing, and narrative structure.

• Profound awareness of current internet culture, memes, and viral video trends.

• Comprehensive understanding of the rules, terminology, notation, and culture associated with chess.

• Capability to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Previous professional experience in editing content related to chess, esports, or traditional sports is highly advantageous.
