📋 Description

• Conceptualize and execute real-time visual effects for characters, settings, and gameplay interactions.

• Utilize particle systems, shaders, and physics-based simulations to generate high-quality effects.

• Create and refine VFX assets while ensuring they meet performance standards across various platforms.

• Collaborate with the art, animation, and game design teams to ensure that VFX aligns with the overall visual style and mechanics of the game.

• Produce both stylized and realistic VFX, including fire, smoke, explosions, energy effects, weather elements, and destruction.

• Employ Unreal Engine’s Niagara or other VFX tools to craft sophisticated effects.

• Enhance effects to guarantee smooth performance while maintaining visual quality.

• Investigate and prototype innovative techniques to advance the field of real-time VFX.

• Keep organized and detailed technical documentation of workflows and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience as a VFX Artist in the game development industry.

• Expertise in Unreal Engine’s Niagara or other real-time VFX tools (such as Unity’s VFX Graph, PopcornFX, etc.).

• Comprehensive understanding of particle systems, shaders, lighting, and materials.

• Experience with Houdini, Blender, or Maya for simulation-based effects.

• Strong knowledge of physics, motion, and timing for both realistic and stylized VFX.

• Familiarity with PBR workflows and optimization techniques for real-time performance.

• Basic understanding of shader programming (HLSL, GLSL) or scripting is advantageous.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a capacity to thrive in a fast-paced game development setting.
