Veterinary Clinical Pathologist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Analyze clinical pathology data and create reports for nonclinical safety studies.

• Assist Study Directors in resolving clinical pathology-related data and issues with sponsors.

• Facilitate client development by engaging in discussions with sponsors regarding study objectives and designs.

• Execute and support company-wide scientific initiatives related to the Clinical Pathology department as assigned.

• Contribute to the ongoing development of Study Directors and other personnel involved in Safety Assessment.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• D.V.M. (or equivalent as recognized by AVMA ECFVG) is mandatory.

• MS/MVSc/MSc and/or Ph.D. is preferred.

• A minimum of 1-4 years of experience as a Veterinary Clinical Pathologist (as a board-eligible trainee or board certified), preferably within the pharmaceutical, biotech, and/or CRO sectors.

• DVM, Diplomate ACVP, ECVP in Veterinary Clinical Pathology is required.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and pathology data management systems is essential.

• Strong written and verbal English skills; capability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals; ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers or regulatory agencies; and competence in effectively presenting information to clients, management, and public groups.

• Ability to apply relevant mathematical concepts for interpreting scientific studies.

• Additional skills necessary include, but are not limited to: general reading, writing, and verbal communication capabilities; as well as expertise in scientific writing or electronic publishing.
