
US Tax Analyst – Sales and Use

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Prepare and submit U.S. sales and use tax returns across various jurisdictions on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Gather sales and use tax data for compliance purposes, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Address state and local tax notices and assist with audit inquiries.
• Facilitate sales and use tax audits by compiling necessary data, reviewing workpapers, and supplying documentation.
• Prepare and oversee resale and exemption certificates for both customers and vendors.
• Analyze purchases to identify use tax accrual obligations.
• Prepare tax-related journal entries and aid in general ledger reconciliations.
• Offer analytical support for tax compliance, reporting, and system-related challenges.
• Collaborate with internal teams to address tax reporting and compliance concerns.
• Engage in special projects, including tax research, process enhancements, and internal evaluations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
• Over 2 years of experience in U.S. tax and accounting.
• Preferred experience in sales and use tax or indirect tax.
• Strong accounting knowledge, including journal entries, debits/credits, trial balances, and general ledger accounts.
• Experience in preparing and analyzing large datasets using Excel.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and IF formulas).
• Familiarity with tax returns and the ability to meet stringent deadlines.
