AP & Sales Tax Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ecuador.

📋 Description

• Receive, evaluate, and document invoices utilizing platforms such as Bill.com, Beanworks, QuickBooks, and Odoo.

• Monitor invoice approvals and engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure prompt processing.

• Generate AP aging reports to facilitate payment scheduling and manage cash flow effectively.

• Prepare, examine, and file monthly, quarterly, and annual U.S. sales and use tax returns.

• Coordinate and initiate electronic tax payments to adhere to state and local deadlines.

• Maintain databases to track filing statuses, nexus thresholds, and jurisdiction-specific requirements.

• Observe sales volumes and transaction counts to proactively detect economic nexus changes.

• Investigate and respond to tax notices, inquiries, and penalty assessments.

• Stay informed about changes in tax regulations and aid compliance efforts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in English is crucial (both written and spoken).

• Educational background in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related disciplines.

• 2–4 years of experience in accounts payable, accounting, tax, or finance-related positions.

• Strong attention to detail with the capability to manage multiple priorities.

• Exceptional organizational and analytical abilities.

• Ability to work autonomously and adhere to established processes.

• Proactive attitude and eagerness to continuously learn.

• Bonus Points For: Experience with Bill.com, Beanworks, QuickBooks, Odoo, or comparable platforms. Familiarity with U.S. sales and use tax compliance. Previous experience supporting multiple clients or entities. Experience in a startup or FinTech environment.
