Traveling Construction Materials Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Conduct field testing, observation, and examination of construction materials (such as soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel).

• Liaise with the project manager, engineering technicians, client representatives, contractors’ representatives, and others involved concerning the construction site, project specifications, as well as testing, observation, and inspection requirements and outcomes.

• Transport material samples along with the necessary identifying documentation to the laboratory for additional testing and analysis.

• Compile, prepare, and submit data and observations in both written and digital formats as work progresses for daily transmission to the Terracon Project Manager.

• Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles, and workspaces.

• May assist in scheduling and dispatching Technicians to project locations.

• Comply with stringent safety standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• 6 months of relevant experience required.

• A valid driver’s license with an acceptable violation record may be necessary.

• Obtain Nuclear Density Gauge certification within 6 months of employment.

• Acquire ACI certification within 90 days of employment.

• Successful completion of related internal safety certifications.
