This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Delivers strategic vision, leadership, oversight, and training for language supervisors in the translation office and multi-language supervisors, utilizing policies, procedures, and tools established by the headquarters Translation Department.
• Evaluates and analyzes performance metrics across designated language offices, identifying trends and implementing necessary interventions to guarantee timely and budget-compliant delivery of translation projects and interpretation services.
• Directly supervises certain languages as needed.
• Ensures compliance with standards in project, personnel, and financial management by conducting operational reviews to validate adherence to approved policies and procedures.
• Facilitates the coordination of sensitive and confidential requests as required.
• Coordinates the resolution of issues or concerns with the Area Translation Manager, or as directed, with the Global Language Coordination Manager assigned to the Area.
• Oversees the resolution of human resources, financial, technical, and legal needs related to translation and interpretation operations in assigned language offices, including recruitment, hiring, CAP, and local budget management.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration, Management, Languages, Linguistics, Translation, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Alternatively, a minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 5 years in leadership, supervisory, project management, or operational roles.
• Strong preference for experience in translation, localization, or language services operations.
• Proven experience in managing personnel, budgets, and projects within a multicultural or international context.
• Familiarity with translation technologies, localization tools, and emerging industry trends (including AI-supported workflows) is advantageous.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
• A solid understanding of Church doctrine, policy, and organization is anticipated.
• Proficient verbal and written **English** skills are essential.
