This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Learn the Citywide software platform and its new product features independently through hands-on exploration and collaboration with subject matter experts.
• Develop, record, edit, and publish captivating training videos and e-learning content utilizing Camtasia, Articulate, and AI-driven content creation tools.
• Create, maintain, and enhance client-facing knowledge base articles in HappyFox, ensuring that the content is accurate, easy to search, and user-friendly.
• Revamp outdated training materials into succinct videos, knowledge base articles, quick reference guides, and other digital learning resources.
• Utilize AI and automation tools to enhance the speed, quality, and uniformity of content production.
• Capture and edit screenshots, screen recordings, graphics, and other multimedia assets to enrich the learning experience.
• Oversee a backlog of training content projects by prioritizing tasks, monitoring progress, and delivering high-quality content on time.
• Work collaboratively with Product, Development, Implementation, and Training teams to ensure that content aligns with the latest software updates and best practices.
• Review and test training content for accuracy, clarity, consistency, usability, and adherence to branding guidelines.
• Continuously investigate new technologies, AI tools, and instructional design best practices to enhance the client learning experience.
• Prepare training content and supporting materials for client and internal learning initiatives as needed.
• Share innovative ideas to enhance Citywide training content, knowledge base, and self-service resources.
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Digital Media, Multimedia, Communications, Educational Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in creating digital learning content, technical documentation, instructional materials, or multimedia content (including co-op, internship, freelance, or personal projects).
• Proven ability to quickly learn new software applications and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience in creating and editing videos with tools such as Camtasia, Descript, Articulate, Adobe Premiere Pro, or other similar content creation software.
• Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, or similar) to enhance content creation and productivity is a plus.
• Strong written communication and technical writing skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Creative, curious, and proactive, with a passion for learning new technologies and continuously enhancing content.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, capable of working effectively across technical and business teams.
• Experience with knowledge base platforms, e-learning authoring tools, or Learning Management Systems (LMS) is considered an asset.
• Familiarity with enterprise software, SaaS applications, or municipal government software is regarded as a plus.
