Title Examiner – Southwest

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Title Examiners are tasked with abstracting and reviewing documents from public records while delivering title opinions.

• Assess title orders in accordance with company protocols to evaluate title conditions and insurability.

• Conduct research using specific title plant software, and analyze and evaluate relevant record documents.

• Clarify the chain of title, exceptions, and necessary requirements to clients and management.

• Identify title defects and devise appropriate curative measures.

• Evaluate risks and liabilities that could compromise the company.

• Ensure adherence to production levels and delivery standards.

• Collaborate closely with customers and escrow personnel to satisfy timing requirements.

• Create a precise and comprehensive title commitment.

• Execute additional tasks as assigned by the manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in title examination within California, Arizona, and Nevada.

• Proficient in TitlePoint, DataTrace, and conducting searches on county websites.

• Strong knowledge of underwriting policies and guidelines.

• Solid understanding of metes and bounds, including adverse matters related to the property in question.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong organizational abilities and capacity to operate within set time frames.

• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure.

• Outstanding problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

• Experience in Colorado is an advantage.
