This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Conducts Strategic Planning & Management along with Digital Forensics as outlined by the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) Framework.
• Participates in specialized cybersecurity activities such as red-teaming, ethical hacking, cloud security architecture, digital forensics, reverse engineering of malware, and enterprise cyber architecture.
• Offers consultative, advanced, specialized, and/or highly independent functions typically not addressed in other job sub-families.
• Supplies specific, detailed guidance for hardware and software selection, as well as cloud service provider selection (which includes SLA authorship, development, and assessment).
• Implements application and data migration strategies and tools to fulfill business requirements, addressing both present and future capacity and security considerations.
• Tackles a broad spectrum of security challenges encompassing architectures, firewalls, electronic data traffic, and network access.
• Investigates, assesses, and recommends innovative security tools, techniques, and technologies, integrating them into the enterprise in accordance with the IT security strategy.
• Employs COTS/GOTS and custom tools to scan, identify, contain, mitigate, and resolve vulnerabilities and intrusions within physical security and cybersecurity systems, processes, and policies.
• Utilizes expert engineering knowledge in enterprise IT and security solutions to design, develop, and/or implement consistent solutions aligned with enterprise architecture security policies.
• Supports comprehensive military cyberspace operations.
• Composes technical reports that detail assessments and the activities performed to mitigate and remediate issues.
• Translates and produces technical documentation in layman's terms to ensure clarity regarding the work conducted and its results.
• Bachelor’s Degree with five (5) or more years of experience; Master’s Degree with three (3) or more years of experience; or PhD with no related experience required.
• Receives assignments in the form of objectives that outline the goals and the approaches to achieve them.
• Provides guidance to employees in accordance with established policies and management directives.
• Implements company policies that directly influence subordinate employees and suggests modifications to unit or sub-unit policies.
• Work is evaluated based on the achievement of objectives.
• Candidates must be US Citizens, capable of passing a CJIS Criminal Justice background check, and maintain CJIS clearance for the duration of their employment.
• Responsible for administering and executing policies, processes, and procedures that affect subordinate employees and the workflow of the work unit.
• Oversees daily operations of the work unit.
• Makes decisions that impact the operations of the work unit, recognizing that incorrect decisions may lead to schedule delays and necessitate additional personnel and financial resources.
