This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee and improve Amentum’s Insider Risk Program, encompassing policies, procedures, and tools.
• Develop a comprehensive framework aimed at deterring, detecting, investigating, and mitigating insider risks.
• Conduct threat assessments and formulate strategies to address risks such as intellectual property theft, sabotage, espionage, fraud, and accidental data breaches.
• Evaluate threats and concerning communications, integrating these assessments into a wider security management approach.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity to identify potential insider-risk behaviors while ensuring compliance with privacy laws and ethical considerations.
• Engage in insider-risk and other threat investigations and manage reporting protocols.
• Work alongside IT, HR, Legal, Compliance, and Security to pinpoint behavioral issues, create intervention strategies, develop incident-response plans, and coordinate responses.
• Partner with government entities, security organizations, and industry peers on insider-risk matters.
• Design and provide insider-risk awareness training for employees, contractors, and leadership.
• Ensure adherence to relevant government mandates and act as the designated Insider Threat Program Senior Official for the company.
• Create metrics and reports to convey program effectiveness to senior leadership.
• Respond to critical incidents outside of regular working hours when necessary; some travel may be required.
• Generally 8 years of experience in security, investigations, intelligence and analysis, insider risk/threat management, or a related field with a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area; or 5+ years of pertinent experience with a Master’s degree.
• At least 2 years of experience in leading, mentoring, and/or delegating tasks to others.
• Must currently hold or be eligible to obtain a U.S. government security clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Knowledge of insider risk/threat management concepts, tools, and best practices.
• Experience in developing and managing security or insider-risk programs.
• Strong analytical and investigative capabilities.
• Understanding of government regulations and compliance standards related to insider-threat programs.
• Exceptional communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
• Proficient in applying data analytics within an insider-risk/threat-management context.
• A proactive, analytical mindset with the ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity.
