This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct data-sharing review processes for established research communities.
• Support initiatives that promote responsible biomedical data sharing through governance strategies like data access controls.
• Address emerging privacy concerns and enhance compliance methods.
• Oversee and manage responses to data access support inquiries.
• Implement and advocate for data-sharing systems that safeguard research participants and uphold scientific integrity.
• Assist in the development of policies, procedures, and frameworks governing research design, data collection, analysis, and dissemination.
• Support compliance with ethical, legal, and institutional standards.
• Contribute to incident investigations and Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) plans related to data access.
• Monitor activities and report findings to stakeholders.
• Address data access requests and provide assistance to internal coordinators and external data requesters.
• Track data-sharing agreements, compile and report metrics, and document workflows.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, such as life sciences, public health, public administration, or social sciences.
• 1-2 years of professional experience within a research environment involving human biomedical data.
• Knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices pertaining to human research data.
• Experience in utilizing and/or enhancing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) or other process documentation.
• Familiarity with incident investigation processes, root cause analysis, and CAPA plans.
• Proficient in documentation/task management tools like Google Suite, MS Suite, Confluence, or Jira.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills suitable for various audiences and formats.
• Understanding of F.A.I.R. data sharing principles and ethical research standards in human biomedical research.
• High digital literacy and a willingness to learn new software and tools.
• Knowledge of scientific biomedical research terminology.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to navigate through ambiguity as project and business requirements evolve.
• Capacity to maintain focus during computer-based and reading-intensive tasks.
• Capability to work efficiently under deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to dynamic environments, priorities, and multitasking.
• Willingness to travel at least twice a year for on-site events in Seattle, WA.
