Data Governance Consultant – IDMC, CDGC

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Implement and set up Informatica IDMC/CDGC as the core of a global data governance platform.

• Configure connectors and integrate source systems.

• Establish capabilities for scanning, profiling, and metadata discovery throughout the organization.

• Define and recommend priorities for platform activation.

• Provide guidance to stakeholders on effective implementation strategies.

• Evaluate and communicate the cost implications of configuration decisions and regional needs.

• Collaborate with central data teams, governance teams based in the US, and regional business units.

• Offer technical guidance, implementation suggestions, and best practices in data governance.

• Deliver a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) that serves as a blueprint for future deployments across various countries.

• Balance business value, governance goals, and operational costs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in Data Governance, Metadata Management, Data Management, or related fields.

• Extensive hands-on experience with the implementation of Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) solutions and Cloud Data Governance and Catalog (CDGC).

• Demonstrated experience in successfully delivering end-to-end enterprise-scale data governance, metadata management, or data catalog projects and implementations.

• Experience in multinational, federated, or multi-entity environments.

• Professional fluency in English.

• Strong expertise in configuring and deploying Informatica IDMC.

• Experience in configuring connectors, onboarding sources, scanning, profiling, and metadata discovery processes.

• Ability to establish implementation priorities and make architectural recommendations.

• Understanding of data governance operating models, data ownership, stewardship, and domain-based methodologies.

• Capability to assess and articulate the operational and financial impacts of technical decisions.

• Strong skills in stakeholder management and consulting.

• Experience with APIs, integrations, and enterprise data platform ecosystems.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Nice to have: experience in defining data governance frameworks, standards, and guidelines.

• Nice to have: previous experience in the insurance, financial services, or assistance services sectors.

• Nice to have: exposure to large-scale international transformation programs.

• Nice to have: experience working with Informatica Professional Services teams.

• Nice to have: knowledge of emerging trends in Data Management, Data Governance, AI, and GenAI-enabled optimization.

• Nice to have: relevant Informatica certifications.
