Test Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Create innovative tools within Bragi's exclusive audio testing environment, concentrating on automating audio features for headphones, TWS earbuds, and speakers.

• Develop AI-driven scenarios and test cases.

• Collaborate hands-on with audio hardware in our automated audio lab and Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) setups to ensure the accuracy of voice control, device reliability, and audio quality.

• Carry out a combination of automated and manual tests to enhance test coverage and efficiency.

• Evaluate test results with an emphasis on audio performance and voice interaction, document findings, and work closely with developers to guarantee top-notch product quality.

• Oversee and troubleshoot Bragi’s audio testing infrastructure, promptly addressing hardware and software issues.

• Create and document comprehensive audio and voice control test plans using Qase.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in software testing, preferably with a focus on audio products such as headphones, earbuds, speakers, or voice-controlled devices.

• Proficient in Python and object-oriented programming.

• Familiarity with version control systems (Git, GitLab).

• Strong understanding of automated testing frameworks and processes.

• A genuine passion for working with physical audio devices, with a preference for testing directly on hardware rather than solely in software simulations.

• A proactive, hands-on attitude with a strong sense of ownership, motivation, and teamwork.

• A keen interest and ideally previous experience utilizing AI tools (Claude or similar).

• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Nice to have:

• Experience in testing voice assistant features (Google Assistant, Alexa, Siri) on hardware.

• Familiarity with Robot Framework.

• Knowledge of bash scripting or Windows batch scripting.

• Background in acoustics, audio engineering, or voice recognition technologies.

• Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB Advanced).
