Middle QA Automation Engineer, Python

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Qatar.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions for REST APIs, encompassing authentication, authorization (RBAC), and request/response validation.

• Construct and improve UI automation frameworks utilizing contemporary testing tools and best practices.

• Create and uphold test automation scripts using Python and pytest.

• Develop and manage test documentation, test cases, and defect reports.

• Engage in defect triage, root cause analysis, and quality enhancement initiatives.

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to guarantee continuous quality validation.

• Work closely with Software Engineers, Product Owners, and DevOps teams throughout the development lifecycle.

• Contribute to quality assurance efforts for conversational and voice-based AI solutions, validating user interactions, system responses, and performance metrics.

• Assist in performance and latency validation tasks for real-time communication workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance, testing web applications and API-driven systems.

• Strong practical experience with REST API testing, including authentication, authorization, RBAC, and request/response validation.

• Hands-on experience with API testing tools like Postman or similar solutions.

• Practical experience in UI test automation using Playwright with TypeScript or equivalent automation frameworks.

• Solid scripting skills in automation using Python and pytest.

• Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test suites.

• Familiarity with AWS services (ECS, CloudWatch, Secrets Manager, S3).

• Strong grasp of software testing methodologies, test planning, and defect management processes.

• Ability to produce clear test documentation, compose detailed defect reports, and take part in defect triage activities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Basic knowledge of Docker and Docker Compose.

• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and troubleshooting (Bitbucket Pipelines or similar).
