This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa, +2 more states.
• You will be tasked with driving revenue growth and expanding market presence within your designated territory.
• Develop and implement a territory strategy to ensure consistent growth in both dairy and beef operations.
• Generate new business: Identify, target, and convert sales opportunities within dairy operations, dealer stores, nutritionists, and feed channels.
• Utilize distribution networks: Collaborate with distribution partners to enhance product movement and market penetration.
• Focus on outcomes rather than products: Present solutions that enhance intake, health, and profitability for producers.
• Showcase product applications, offer technical support, and train customers on effective product usage.
• Execute field activities: Spend a minimum of 3+ days per week on-farm, fostering relationships and finalizing sales in collaboration with distribution networks.
• Drive activity: Maintain a well-organized pipeline, follow up on all leads, and create opportunities independently.
• Represent the brand: Participate in tradeshows, producer meetings, and industry events as assigned and authorized by management.
• Minimum of 2 years of technical and direct sales experience (preferably in livestock, agriculture, or a related industry), with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales goals.
• Experience in conducting training sessions to educate clients about product usage.
• Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability to new challenges, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
• A Bachelor’s degree in animal science or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience in the animal health industry is advantageous.
• Proven track record of prospecting, closing deals, and growing accounts.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• High degree of self-accountability and discipline.
• Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients and participate in industry events (including on-farm visits, tradeshows, and training sessions).
