Temporary Tax Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Oversee internal order queues, email inboxes, and reporting tools for incoming Tax Certificate and HOA Certificate requests, updates, and related inquiries.

• Handle new and update requests via authorized third-party vendor platforms (e.g., DataTrace, TitleLogix), ensuring the tracking of open orders until completion.

• Examine returned Tax Certificates and HOA information for thoroughness, precision, and compliance before uploading to the production file.

• Upload finalized certificates and supporting documentation into internal title closing systems, adhering to established naming conventions and document standards.

• Interact clearly and professionally with internal closing offices regarding order status, delays, corrections, or changes that affect tax or HOA information.

• Sustain consistent service levels while managing daily production workload.

• Deliver outstanding internal customer service while assisting in achieving departmental service level objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

• Previous knowledge of or experience with Texas Property Tax Certificates and/or HOA information is strongly preferred.

• Experience in a title, escrow, tax services, or real estate support environment is preferred.

• Familiarity with third-party tax service providers (e.g., DataTrace, TitleLogix) is advantageous.

• Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to manage a volume-driven workload.

• High attention to detail and the ability to detect discrepancies or incomplete information.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills are essential.

• Capability to work independently while following established processes and turnaround expectations.

• Proficiency in standard office technology and document management systems.
