This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Develop personalized treatment plans for patients and make necessary adjustments when expected improvements are not observed, either autonomously or in consultation with a more seasoned provider.
• Employ motivational interviewing, behavioral activation, and various behavioral interventions to encourage patients to stay engaged in their care and adhere to their treatment plans. Conduct behavioral health and psychological evaluations for the range of mental health services we offer (including depression, anxiety, insomnia, etc.).
• Methodically monitor treatment efficacy by tracking patient responses and observing changes in clinical symptoms, side effects, treatment adherence, and complications, while prescribing or queuing the necessary medications.
• Educate patients about Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) and Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD).
• Record all patient interactions in Ophelia’s Electronic Health Record (EHR) system promptly and with a high standard of quality.
• Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
• Active DEA license (schedule 3N, 4, 5) or a commitment to obtain a DEA license upon receiving a job offer from Ophelia.
• Fully licensed to practice in New York (additional licenses in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, or Maryland are advantageous).
• Capability to deliver patient-centered, compassionate care that is non-judgmental and free of stigma.
• Enthusiastic about serving vulnerable or marginalized populations.
• Comfortable interacting with a diverse demographic.
• Proficient and at ease in a remote telehealth setting, equipped with the technological skills to navigate multiple tech platforms.
• Willingness to adopt a collaborative, team-based model of patient care.
• Solid understanding of differential diagnosis for common substance use disorders.
• Basic knowledge of psychopharmacology related to opioid use disorder.
• Proven ability to collaborate and communicate effectively within a team environment.
• Capability to foster and maintain professional relationships with patients and care team members.
• Familiarity with evidence-based psychosocial treatments, counseling techniques, or brief behavioral interventions.
