This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Install, repair, and enhance telecommunications technology and infrastructure for clients.
• Install, operate, and maintain voice and data telecommunications network circuits and equipment.
• Plan network installations by analyzing customer orders, manuals, technical specifications, and installation sites.
• Run, pull, terminate, and splice cables effectively.
• Install telecommunications equipment, including routers, switches, multiplexors, cable trays, and alarm and fire-suppression systems.
• Construct ironwork and ladder racks while establishing connections and integrations.
• Program features, activate remote access tools, adhere to industry standards, and collaborate with contractors.
• Test circuits, equipment, and alarms; identify, rectify, or escalate issues.
• Label and route equipment and cables while documenting configurations and specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve outages, test network backup procedures, and update documentation accordingly.
• Address customer inquiries and concerns effectively.
• Comply with safety codes, standards, and legal regulations.
• Manage inventory supplies, place orders, and confirm receipts.
• Engage in educational opportunities and keep abreast of technical publications.
• Travel frequently, up to 75% of the work schedule, to meet business and client needs.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a telecommunications specialist, IT support, or in a similar role.
• Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
• Strong financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• US Citizenship is required.
• Capable of obtaining a public trust security clearance.
• Willingness and ability to travel as necessary, up to 75% of the work schedule.
• Broad technical knowledge of both traditional and emerging communications technologies.
