This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Responsible for player progression, combat abilities, resource scarcity, and fundamental RPG systems.
• Create and prototype puzzles and minigames.
• Support the design of enemy behaviors and supplementary game systems.
• Implement gameplay features directly in the editor using Blueprint scripting, behavior trees, state machines, or other custom tools.
• Evaluate player-facing mechanics for clarity, balance, and scalability throughout the game.
• Troubleshoot and refine design-owned systems, identifying performance, UX, or logic issues before they hinder production.
• Uphold high standards of asset organization, naming conventions, versioning, and documentation.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and provide timely, constructive feedback on colleagues' submissions.
• Proven experience in designing intricate RPG systems as well as player perks and abilities.
• Background as a Technical Designer, Systems Designer, Gameplay Designer, or in a related role.
• Strong analytical skills with the capability to debug, optimize, and enhance design logic.
• An ego-free, highly motivated, action-oriented individual with a curiosity to learn and a growth mindset.
• Ability to navigate ambiguous and unstructured environments comfortably.
