• Offer personalized technical assistance to customers via email and Safe’s Community Q&A forum.
• Perform software demonstrations and create proof of concepts for both new and existing clients.
• Develop and present training materials, webinars, and presentations to enhance customers' FME expertise, while contributing to Safe’s Community by producing step-by-step tutorials and informative articles.
• Work collaboratively with other teams, sharing your knowledge on initiatives like testing new product features and aiding in marketing campaigns to promote them.
• Analyze and investigate various configurations and technologies to support customers, colleagues, and developers.
• Stay informed about product advancements by attending Feature Demos and testing the latest software versions.
• Detect issues within FME and advocate for enhancements that will benefit our customers.
• 1-2 years of experience in customer service, technical support, or consultancy.
• Familiarity with common data challenges, including schema management, validation, and filtering.
• Experience with ETL processes and/or developing data/application integrations.
• Proficient understanding of Windows operating systems.
• Strong communication skills to convey technical information in an understandable manner.
• Empathetic and customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
• Self-driven and enthusiastic about learning new technologies, such as the FME Platform.
• Capable of critical thinking and proposing solutions for complex challenges.
• Able to collaborate successfully and provide constructive feedback.
• Experience with AI tools and a willingness to use them for troubleshooting, documentation, or workflow improvements.
• Prior experience with FME Form and/or FME Flow is a plus.
• Basic understanding of Linux operating systems is desirable.
• Background in system administration, networking, and configuration for enterprise software products is advantageous.
• Experience in technical writing is a plus.
• Proficiency with databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL Server), various data formats (e.g., GIS, JSON), and/or streaming processes (e.g., Kafka, JMS, RabbitMQ) is beneficial.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IAC), containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud deployments (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Experience using APIs is a bonus.
