This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.
• Deliver technical service assistance to Trane Field Service Agencies
• Remotely diagnose issues with Trane commercial chillers
• Conduct chiller service reporting and data analysis
• Organize gathered data, reports, and records to facilitate data-driven decision-making
• Collaborate with various Trane functional areas to provide customer support and meet business-unit goals
• Create and technically evaluate Help Center solutions
• Travel up to 10–15% for troubleshooting, training, field support, and new product initiatives
• Oversee and guide customer interactions regarding Trane chillers
• Support root cause analysis and defect resolution efforts
• Draft and review product literature while assisting with training sessions
• Act as a subject matter expert on chiller components or applications
• Lead or contribute to field quality problem-solving initiatives and field service communication teams
• Ensure adherence to quality standards for technical service processes and customer satisfaction
• Engage in quality audits, design review teams, and technology transfers
• Identify trends in field problems and relay failure information to Quality for product enhancements
• Spearhead quality improvement initiatives and contribute to new product development as the voice of the field
• Assist Mission Critical customers with chiller startups, commissioning, and maintenance
• Provide support outside normal business hours when scheduled
• Make data-informed decisions aligned with departmental needs and future objectives
• Preferred: 10+ years of experience in servicing HVAC equipment and systems
• Preferred: Associate or Bachelor’s degree
• Professional training on various Trane equipment is required
• Willingness to travel up to 10%
• Ability to identify problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Knowledge and application of temperature and pressure theories
• Understanding and application of fundamental electrical theories
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software
• Familiarity with handheld devices such as smartphones and iPads
• Competence in managing support cases using Remedy software
• Capability to meet the physical demands of standard HVAC service routines
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in troubleshooting complex refrigeration and electrical systems
• Current knowledge of Trane Unitary Commercial products, including installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair
• Additional familiarity with Large Unitary Products and BAS systems is advantageous but not mandatory
• Ability to prioritize multiple high-priority customer cases
• Flexibility to occasionally work extended hours
• Ability to meet both short- and long-term deadlines
