This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Automated systems that transition a cluster from unconfigured machines to customer-ready setups.

• Managing the machine lifecycle across tenants: onboarding, wiping, verifying, and rejoining.

• Operating Kubernetes and Postgres throughout the fleet.

• Contributing to the development of our custom Kubernetes operators.

• Scaling clusters from a few nodes to thousands.

• Engaging in on-call rotations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant technical expertise that allows for deep engagement, with a meaningful impact on the world. This can take three years or twenty to achieve.

• A minimum of 2 years of on-call experience for critical production services.

• Extensive experience with Kubernetes.

• Strong understanding of Linux fundamentals: including kernel, cgroups, containers, networking, and storage.

• Experience managing databases, monitoring, CI/CD, and large-scale cloud infrastructure.

• Familiarity with fleet management and capacity planning.

• Previous experience with writing operators, GPUs, HPC scheduling, or bare-metal hardware is advantageous but not mandatory.
