Technical Service Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Deliver risk assessments, gap assessments, and a variety of consultancy services to clients.

• Create system architecture and cybersecurity concepts that meet both customer and international standards, while developing risk and gap assessment documentation based on best practices, international benchmarks, and classification requirements.

• Implement cybersecurity solutions in accordance with customer and industry standards, and evaluate the effectiveness of the controls that have been applied.

• Conduct vulnerability scans on systems and recommend appropriate mitigations.

• Perform regular cybersecurity services to ensure the system is maintained while onboard vessels or at ports.

• Investigate and resolve network issues and other cybersecurity-related challenges.

• Capable of responding to cybersecurity incidents as they arise.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an OT cybersecurity service engineer.

• Bachelor's degree with a focus on IT and relevant OT experience.

• In-depth knowledge of distributed control systems (DCS).

• Familiarity with the ABB 800xA system is preferred.

• Strong understanding of computer networking principles, network security practices, and cybersecurity solutions (e.g., application whitelisting, backup solutions, network analysis, log aggregation, SIEM, etc.).

• Proficient in Windows and virtual system administration.

• Awareness of the IEC 62443 standard.

• Knowledge of maritime class cybersecurity standards is preferred.

• Understanding of technology integration processes and the capability to identify critical infrastructure systems.
