This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Become a part of our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Product Specialist III, where you will play a vital role in driving revenue growth and ensuring customer satisfaction through your technical sales expertise.
• You will represent our range of Proteomic Workflows & Beads, collaborating closely with customers to identify their needs and provide effective solutions aimed at making the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.
• In your role as a technical advisor, you will establish and nurture strong relationships with key accounts while offering technical guidance throughout the sales process.
• You will work alongside cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and technical support, to execute sales strategies and deliver outstanding customer experiences.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
• Preferred fields of study include Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related discipline.
• Over 5 years of experience is required, preferably in a technical sales role within the scientific instrumentation, laboratory products, or life sciences sectors.
• Extensive technical knowledge of the assigned product portfolio and its applications is essential.
• A solid understanding of laboratory workflows and customer needs is necessary.
• Proven track record of achieving or surpassing sales targets.
• Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with the ability to clarify complex technical concepts.
• Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical skills and strategic planning abilities.
• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a matrixed environment.
• Proven project management and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the designated territory.
• A valid driver's license and the ability to lift/move equipment as required.
• Strong skills in relationship building and negotiation.
• Ability to assess market trends and the competitive landscape.
• Experience in delivering technical demonstrations and training.
