This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• The Technical Sales Specialist (TSS) plays a vital commercial role within the Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Division (CMD) at Thermo Fisher Scientific.
• This position is technology-driven, primarily focusing on selling and providing support within CMD.
• Aligned with CMD's strategic goals, this role aims to boost business potential by driving sustained revenue growth for our instruments and consumables across the relevant product lines.
• The TSS will engage in the sales process from the prospecting phase through to the deal closure.
• A minimum of 5 years of proven sales experience in the analytical or relevant instrument market, managing complex, high-value accounts.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required, while a Master’s degree in a scientific field is preferred.
• Preferred candidates will possess strong market knowledge and insights into industry sectors, markets, and key trends.
• Experience in delivering seminars and presentations is essential.
• A commercial mindset, driven by a strong desire to secure new business, with a proven track record of pursuing opportunities relentlessly.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication, and presentation skills are required.
• Fluency in English and other languages as necessary for the assigned region is essential.
• Demonstrated commercial excellence in a matrix environment is preferred.
• Ability to articulate and sell the technical features of Thermo Fisher Scientific’s scientific product portfolio.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites up to 80% of the time, including overnight travel.
